My Twin songs

can't think in terms of diff art mediums rn but i have this idea of ‘twin songs’, ie songs that just belong together in my mind for whatever reason? like phases by blaize jenkins and you are mine by mutemath. i know you by faye webster and smoke signals by phoebe bridgers. to wish impossible things by the cure and when the sun hits by slowdive. lovers rock by tv girl & in the city by chromatics. it's endless tbh but fun to think about

anna sun by walk the moon - i remember being in 7th grade watching MTV on cable, since then it made me feel alive priestess by pumarosa - feels like im a ancient oracle calling down to the goddesses above king of queens by dounia - particular to this one just bc I am a queens nyc baby. I am the main character when this comes on (respectfully) blackstone by kiss facility - makes me warm inside, reminds me of an ex lover and best friend. a prayer of protection from evil eye and sending love their way.

wanting to create more, but feeling burnt out.

having a creative job is so fun. I feel really lucky that I get to do what I enjoy as a livelihood. it just sucks when it's time to clock out and I don't feel satisfied creatively bc I was making art for a company ( I <3 capitalism!!!!) instead of for myself, but I feel too burnt out to do anything creative after. so sad.
