maybe a crush, maybe an ex, maybe someone you're beefing with; either way, turning off their text alerts rocks. with some getting used to, you won't keep constantly checking for a message from them to come through but you'll still get notifications from the people who don't make you nervous. makes it way easier to stop thinking about when their next text might come through and if it does, you'll more than likely stumble across it organically. if you're doing something important, you'll be guaranteed not to have it interrupted by a wave of digital anxiety. similar rec is turning off badges for your messages app. who cares if that number goes up! none of my business

everyone can wait until it's my time to check the app. if we're friends, you can text. Call it childfree elder millennial privilege. nothing an app can say to me -- work apps included -- is all that important. Nothing deserves immediate response.

I’m making the kind of deals diplomats can only dream of on this goddamn game. They need to hire me at the UN to negotiate US-N Korea relations the way I’m bargaining between kpop and hiphop fandoms. Game is called Soundmap. Add me as a friend! 🗣️
