This time last year I was working a remote tech sales job and sat at a desk all day riddled with anxiety over dumb fake meetings and linkedin messages. Today at work I walked over 9 miles, washed over 1,000 glasses, carried innumerable cases of wine on my shoulder, broke down 50+ cardboard boxes, filled an entire dumpster on my own with five trips in a golf cart, scraped hot brie out of a recycling bin, and had to take care of a dead robin all within 7 hours. I am absolutely zonked but my brain is blissfully empty.

@ROYALLMONARCH there are many ups and downs to both, i think the ideal balance is a mix of the two so maybe two part time jobs? i’m trying to get a bookkeeping job on the side for more money and less exhaustion. but with part time you miss the luxuries of healthcare and PTO… the woes capitalism, as y know. you’re young you have time to figure it the balance!!

I just had a week off work. I got to see the opening night of Ghost's world tour & hear new songs ten days before their album drops. I made a new friend on friday and we had a genuine connection and I haven't let my anxiety or obsessive tendencies (idk if thats quite the right word) spoil the vibes or make me spiral. I have felt good for the first time in a long time!!! But I have to be at work tomorrow morning and that has honestly singlehandedly undone all of that healing lmao. It won't be that bad, probably. My job is... fine, usually. But the dread never goes away!
