By Keiko Kawakami 221 pages, its about a girl struggling with loneliness and mental health issues. It touches on issues of alcoholism. Its sosoososo good!!! Its not plot heavy, it may seem boring to people since not a lot happens during it. It focuses more on her and her lonliness, but its one of my favorites!!

I love love love this story and the way the author explored the topics of gender roles/relationships, women’s bodies, and loneliness. such an intimate book and I love her writing style, wish I could emulate that sort of intimacy in my writing too!!!!

This book is so good!!! just started it last night and now im almost done with it !!! It was the last book katherine min wrote before she died!!! It’s a genius book that follows the story of three people : - Kyoko a japanese american punk rock singer who is grieving her mom’s death ; - Daniel a violinist who is faced with confronting his past & many relationships; - and Alma, the love of daniel’s life, a korean american cello prodigy , who at the end of her life ponders over if she was ever truly loved. insane and beautiful and honest and hilarious

240 pages. ⚠️⚠️⚠️FAIR WARNIGNG it is so gross like read the warnings. Theres assault, abuse, incest, etc. She also wrote convenience store woman but it couldn't be more different (also incredible book I recommend). It blurs the line between whats real and whats imagination, and it REALLY pushes morals and societal norms. Its so gross but oh my god I cant stop reading. Its like a car crash 10/10 one of my favorite books ever

I love love love the south, im born and raised here. Atlanta is such a great pick, but if you looking for something smaller north carolina has some great beach towns. In my experience as well asheville is so great, its also so gay i love it. Only issue is that its small, but there is a big younger population so theres plenty to do!!
