I started meditating about 2 months ago. I haven’t been consistent but this app is doing wonders for me. I love the breath work aspect. Tonight it focused in all the things ive touched. kinda dumb but I went through it all, toast, clothing, my dog, my makeup etc. different textures different purposes. It’s weird when you break down your day to the small things. Try it, you might like it.
greatttt timing. I feel like my soul has been off-balance recently. Thinkin' bout how time isn't linear, my caught-in-the-door 14-year-old self has been peeking through again. I feel angry, but it's hard to say why. going to lie on a yoga matt after my PI-search.
I have been in the most consistent meditation habit since getting the Calm app because it really takes a lot of the thinking out of it. HOWEVER, there are tons of free resources on youtube and guided meditations released as podcasts. I feel like a big thing for me has been having a good mix of actual meditation and activities that put me in to a sort of similar headspace. A big one for me is going on walks and bird watching. I also find it easiest anytime I can sort of restrict myself in a way (ie im in the bath tub, wearing an eye mask, laying under a weighted blanket) to help keep myself in it.
Just sitting and exploring where my attention goes without judgement… coming back to my breath if I’m lost in thought. Noticing if I’m feeling antsy without judging or resisting it. One of my favorite ways to meditate
A tattoo I recently did on a dear friend. I want to do more of this. As an artist finding people who would want this style feels like a bit of a challenge.
