My birthday is in August, so that’s one reason. But also, I love how it’s the peak summer month- everyone is doing their own thing, enjoying the outdoors, maybe on vacation somewhere, there’s just that slow leisurely summer lull. Then Labor Day and September roll around and then everyone starts to synchronize and get back into gear once again. That back to school feeling never really goes away!

its the start of summer! the semester is over and i feel free to enjoy myself, my friends are free to hang out before going home for the summer, and i don’t start work until the end of the month so i have time to kill by reading my book on the warm hill outside my house and to go to the playground and to ride my bike downtown. everything feels new and lovely, and my birthday is in may so i’m one year older and living it up

THE SUMMER

I think the summer should be the time to reinvent yourself. Whether it be by changing your appearance, your mentality, or your approach to things; or even just by gaining a new hobby. There’s no better time than the summer, I feel like that season is just brimming with endless possibilities, endless ways for growth and I love it! Go out and have fun! Discover yourself. theres this boy and hes sososo sweet and cute and funny like the whole package honestly and i like him a lot he really makes me smile we have this thing where we watch movies together during classes where we have extra time today it was teenage mutant ninja turtles you know the jim henson one from 1990 but there’s something so intimate about it because we look at each other during the movie instead of paying attention to the film and it‘s a totally crazy experience like i feel so giddy everytime we do it i need him to ask me out immediately (i‘m far too nervous)
