This is the only system that worked for me. When I subscribed to the Criterion Channel and built up a watchlist, I made myself always watch whatever was next instead of trying to figure out what I wanted to watch at that moment. Sidenote to the OP, check out Every Frame A Painting on YouTube if you haven’t found it already

Already subscribed to Every Frame a Painting and I own a criterion subscription. I’ll keep this in mind, thank you!

I previously recommended to wait 'till the platforms announced what projects were leaving, then out of those projects, look at the ones that are on your watchlist to give them priority. Generally you could end up having a diverse array of movies to watch for the month. I have like 2000+ movies I want to watch on a list. I frequently find myself overwhelmed because of this. I figured out another way to determine what to watch. I put them on one of those sites where you can put a list of things for sweepstakes and just let the site choose. As long as it's on a platform, I'll watch. Just watched Wizards (1977) this way.

I see people feeling overwhelmed due to decision fatigue. What I do sometimes when it comes to watching movies or shows, is add it to my watchlist, then wait 'till the platform announces that a certain project from said watchlist is leaving in order to watch it. I do this 'cause I find it brings me a diverse list of projects to watch, that if I had there in perpetuity, I would've never touched otherwise. It's simple but helps me into actually clicking on things I've been meaning to watch. It's a good way to take advantage of your subscriptions too. That way, I feel like I give it enough use instead of spending an hour on the platform undecided and then logging off due to being unable to make a decision. Here's some things that were leaving Netflix in my country to show you an example: About Time (2013). Brokeback Mountain (2005). Christine (1983). Step Brothers (2008). The Social Network (2010). The Terminal (2004). Whiplash (2014). World War Z (2013). All these movies, except for the last one, I'd never seen and like I said, it's a pretty diverse array. Even if not all of them are masterpieces, pushes me to actually do something with the content I say want to watch.

My letterboxd watchlist fits perfectly into a single screenshot, so for aesthetic purposes I am honourbound to watch something on it to take it off before I can add anything else. This has actually led me to watch at least One movie so far!!!!

The occupation persists, the oppression persists, the torture persists. The occupiers are psychotic and their work is never finished. People who’ve paid attention won’t be surprised by this photo from Gaza.
