Have you ever held one? They are so slow and uncoordinated, I don’t think they can see very well. Its gentle movement is endearing and oddly soothing, therefore making it the perfect bug to hold for anyone regardless of your comfort with bugs. You can’t be afraid of a slow clumsy stick who can’t see well.

i think bugs are so cool especially under a magnifying glass or something. my favorite bug is a stink bug because i think they look silly and it makes me feel bad when they get stuck on their backs. i think praying mantis’ are also super cool have you guys ever seen the little dance they do for defense??? man i love bugs

Some bugs are scary! And some bugs are fun and silly! And which bugs are which completely depends on the person. But when you see a cool fun critter, take the extra minute to look at it, maybe get a photo of it, make your friends look at it if you're with them! Sometimes you can even pick them up for a minute or two, just be careful (and gentle). Here's a caterpillar!!

inconvenience/annoyance should not give us the right to kill a bug once you start, you begin to realize how friendly some of them are. my favorite are small milkweed bugs. they will crawl up on my desk while I work and just hang out with me. i still struggle with flies though ... god they are so fucking annoying

Last night was a double feature: Jennifer’s Body (2009) and mother! (2017). Both excellent movies to watch with other ppl and discuss afterwards. We plan to follow this same model of watching one unserious/chick-flick type film from the 2000s and following it up with a psychological horror/thriller. Excited to continue this tradition!
