I call it my âfairy gardenâ because it has pretty flowers I know the bees will like, the herbs I cook with, and cute little fairy, gnome, and mushroom statues. Itâs never too soon to start prepping for growing a pollinator garden this springâŠ
This is actually a carpenter bee, honestly some of the gentlest bees and theyâre so big theyâre unintentionally great pollinators lol. Most of my bumblebee phone pictures are a little blurry because they are THE busy bees, so fast.

They have such a light but powerful scent. Instantly sends me on a nostalgia trip to my old elementary school where we used to have one right next to the softball diamond. It was always the meeting place for my close friend and I over recess when weâd meet to discuss the novel we cowrote (Novel being generous). To me, they are creativity and first crushes incarnate.

This week was horribly inconsistent in terms of weather, but spring is certainly fighting to warm things up. Even winterâs vestiges canât help but display the promise of warmth and new life. The way the ice is melting and cracking in waves doesnât hurt the eyes either. Despite the lack of greenery, there can still be growth.

In place of âIâm gonna kill myselfâ when frustrated. Itâs a really small change and you probably wonât even notice the difference, but itâs a really easy way to start reframing bad self talk and itâs helped me feel better about myself overall.
