It helps me keep my phone usage to a minimum while focusing (at uni or tedious tasks). It’s like muting your tv. When I do have to use it, it’s just way less stimulating. And my time on there is absolutely for essential stuff, without having to remind myself so.
I’ve set a shortcut on my iPhone as 3x power button clicks. Boom! greyscale. It kinda works as a physical reminder to focus as well.
Small thing that’s just helped me spend less time on my phone is switching everything to grayscale so it’s less fun to look at and it’s helped a lot. Makes my phone feel more like a tool and not an extension of my body. it’s somewhere in the accessibility menu on iPhone
Most effective change I've made to reduce my screentime. It removes all of the visual intrigue from your screen. Plus you can set it up so you can toggle it on and off by triple clicking your power button.
I’m not sure why I thought I hated it. I’m sorry Mr oats, you’re actually a real one. So healthy, so filling, and very easy to make. High in protein for that quality energy. Attached an empty bowl that used to have oats.
