If you have property with a lawn, I urge you to ditch the cult of pristine, uniform lawns and participate in not mowing for the month of may. This is great for our pollinators!!! Plus you may find you have beautiful native flowers and grasses once you stop stifling them out. If you really want to go for it, you could not mow as often and not cut as low to preserve clover and other buds that otherwise would be cut down.

A lot of โ€œnativeโ€ wildflower mixes have tons of bullshit invasives in them - definitely look into what seeds youโ€™re actually buying !! Also throwing out seeds/installing plants and then never going back to water them โ€ฆ not swag. That being said, I think itโ€™s dope when done with intention and most cities have groups of gardeners committed to food justice and native plants that are helpful to link up with!

Ivy is invasive to my area and it's EVERYWHERE! It can be difficult and expensive to remove but it's a good thing to do and can even be a matter of safety. Sometimes ivy will basically choke a tree to death, which'll then potentially become a hazard to buildings and people nearby. I can't recommend a reliable website to find your local invasive species right now, because the gov websites are dropping like flies. Sorry ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ’” That said, if you can, make some time to research your local area's invasive species, native and keystone species! It's really rewarding to learn about and act on! It makes you feel more grounded, doing a good thing with a tangible result. Especially with your hands and plants!

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE ๐ŸŒŠ
