i'm half puerto rican and i do think a lot about how me and all my siblings got traditionally white names, but that's a conversation for my therapist
brendan makes enough sense. gets misspelled enough though. but one time recently...
i went to see a movie with my friend PJ, which stands for paris june. she was the ticket holder but i arrived first. i asked the guy if he could just scan one ticket, he asked if i was the ticket holder, and i said no, and he said he could only scan the ticket holder in first, to which i replied that i am the ticket holder. so he scanned my ticket, looked at the screen that comes up for amc stubs members, and he looks at me and says "your name is paris?" and i say "it's pj" and he waves me through, and to this day i struggle with the fact that i could believably be called paris (or he didn't care), and i have to stop myself from giving paris out as a fake name at bars because who the hell is named paris
