👖 Jorts. The more Adam Sandler the better.  🧘‍♀️Pilates. I’ve tried it. Great workout and really kicked my ass. I’m feeling pain in places I didn’t even know I had muscles in.  💿Vinyl collecting/ collecting any form of physical media. Vinyl collecting has had such a profound uptick in the last few years and for good reason. In an age being dubbed the “own nothing and be happy” generation, it’s nice to possess something that is tactile and a physical representation of a medium that brings you immense joy. Vinyl, cds, tapes, comic books, magazines, et al. Our collections are physical representations of our interests and personal tastes. I don’t think this is just a trend. The act of purchasing physical media has died out in recent years but is having a small resurgence led by enthusiasts and those going against the current streaming and pay-to-play culture. People now more than ever are itching to “feel” something and bring their favorite media into the real world and outside the various “digital libraries” across multiple apps taking up our limited precious memory storage. It’s reclaiming ownership of your interest and not just being a passive enjoyer through a paywall. There is something to be said about having your favorite things in your possession  and having the ability to enjoy them for a lifetime, over and over again.  💍 Toe rings. This might just be me but I’m letting the dogs out this summer and I will be adorning them with cute accessories too. Bonus points for pairing them with anklets and a cute pedicure.

🥤The “healthy sodas” ie poppi, culture pop, olipop. It literally has never occurred to me “you know what would make this soda even better?? If it could make me shit. Yeahhhhh that’s it..” you’re asking too much from soda to also regulate your gut microbiome. Either eat some yogurt or take a supplement. Health and wellness has become so heavily commodified and advertised as the next big status symbol in recent years since the pandemic and looming recession. In a time where groceries are at an all time high and even pantry-staple foods are skyrocketing in price like dairy, eggs, and grains, access to quality foods are the latest form of status symbols taking the place of luxury goods and services (see Erewon $20 smoothies and $50 gallons of milk) These sodas are just another way to pander to the health for the sake of aesthetic and for these companies try to sell you on a novel leading health trend the “gut microbiome”. IMO these sodas are bullshit (And plz don’t get me started on the dystopian poppi vending machines PR stunt from a few months ago 😤) 🎤 Tate McCraye. Also Benson Boone for the same reasons but I won’t elaborate.  💰 The $5,000 per child stipend the gov wants to give to new parents in an effort to increase birth rates in America   🐶 Dogs. Sorry not a dog person. I’m really tired of seeing dogs EVERYWHERE. Every restaurant, cafe, grocery store, and group fitness class. I’m seeing dogs places dogs really shouldn’t be. Please leave the dogs at home or at the very least leave them outside.  🍃 Those aesthetic seasoning jars every influencer has in their kitchen. Unfortunately my sister has fallen for this propaganda and we have these jars in our kitchen but I fucking hate them. They’re always falling and I miss the feeling of shaking the seasoning out to my hearts content.

I just going to cut to the chase, I can’t stand the Beatles hate. I understand everyone has their opinions and is entitled to like what they like, but in our year 2025 people still like to debate the validity of the fours musical and cultural importance by saying “they’re overrated”. Excuse me!? I dare you to name an artist or group of the last 50 years and tell me that person was not somewhat influenced by the Beatles in some capacity… quickly! They are your favorite artists’s favorite artists. From Michael Jackson to Nirvana, even Beyoncé included a cover of ‘Blackbird’ on her latest Cowboy Carter release. Every artist, every genre, every decade, it all leads back to the Beatles.  It’s one thing if you don’t like the Beatles, maybe they aren’t your thing sure I’ll give you that. But to say they’re “basic” or don’t deserve hype is just plain wrong. At the very least I feel as though everyone should respect the Beatles and their contributions to music and pop culture, because without them, the larger cultural zeitgeist in which we know it to be today would not exist -this isn’t even an exaggeration. For one, Beatlemania was one of the first cultural examples of “stan culture” no doubt and shaped the way audiences today engage in fandoms. The band are also regarded for their innovative song writing structure and studio recording techniques. Imploring string quartets, tape loops, and experimenting with guitar distortions added new sounds to pop music and challenged the clean, tight, bubble gum sounds found in pop radio at the time— sounds they helped to popularize. In an age where every part of a song can be made and manipulated using a computer program, the boys were in the studio COOKING using objects, instruments, and just about anything else they can get their hands on to create marvel sonic arrangements never heard before. Constantly pushing barriers and evolving in style and sound, the Fab Four gave the world new music to behold with every release. Pop, rock, metal, psychedelic, folk, alternative, and more can all be found inside the works of the Beatles. Few acts have stood the test of time, and even fewer boast an abundantly rich catalogue of prolific source material that’s been studied so intensely and adored by generations upon generations of music fans. Their work is still continually shaping the soundscape of modern music and leaving an undeniable mark on the cultural fabric music and the world.  I can go on and on and on but I will just say this, the Beatles are very important to pop music and culture as a whole. And if you stuck around to read all this I can only assume that you agree with me. And if you’re still unsure about the Beatles, I compiled a playlist on Apple Music of 20 of my personal favorite songs. Give it a listen and please share your thoughts on the four lads from Liverpool (good or bad) I would love to hear what others think. But thank you for letting me get this off my chest. Peace and love ✌🏽 https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/fab-four/pl.u-b3b88LeuPEPx9X

Just wrapped up this hilarious little gem on HBO Max. It’s only two seasons which is a bummer but I’m already itching for a re watch. It’s funny, witty, musical, set in New York City, and not to mention the songs are not only genuinely hilarious but also pay loving homage to the artist/genres they are parodying. There’s references to David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Prince, and much more. Like you can tell they put a lot of effort and care into creating these silly songs, that you will no doubt find yourself bopping and singing along too un ironically. Give it a watch I’m sure you’ll be thoroughly entertained.
