Started to notice I wasn't feeling like talking to people this evening after days of hanging out with people
There's still plenty of socializing I could be doing
But instead I'm inside drinking a soda and silently playing some video games.
Not for too long, but long enough to recharge my social battery.

🤫Being able to chat all day is a gift in many ways (connection with others, being an interesting person, etc) but it can be so gratifying to finally be alone and notice how the cacophony has died out.

⛽�Between socializing, traveling, working, and just dealing with life… we drain our wells. It’s imperative to refill it. For me, if I am on a big creative output, like working on an album, touring, etc… it’s really important to go to live shows, an exhibition, something to refill that creative hole I’ve expended. If I have a big week of socializing, it means spending a day in bed and not looking at my phone or socializing with anyone…losing myself in a book or binging an entire series behind my duvet.

🪟Aw man the breeze is so nice, the sound of kids playing and adults chatting is a nice ambiance, and wow, it's so pretty out.
