i got the recipe from the sister pie cookbook (sister pie is a bakery based in detroit)! my family requests them for pretty much every holiday, and normal days too. i’ve made them so many times that i’ve discovered my own little hacks, such as: the recipe says it makes eight scones, but they will end up being HUGE. i’ve found i can make between twelve and sixteen normal-sized scones if i cut them the right way. also, the dough freezes and stores very well, so i can stock up on multiple weeks’ worth of scones. yummers!!
