and I'll include the recipe I follow :) ingredients:
- one can of green beans
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper instructions:
- drain half of the liquid from the can of green beans and put the beans and leftover liquid into a skillet
- add butter, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
- simmer, uncovered, and stir occasionally until most of the liquid is evaporated
- adjust seasonings if you need to (I like to add a bit of crushed red pepper) and top with parmesan cheese then you have a delicious serving of green beans! it can be doubled, tripled, quadrupled, whatever you wanna do ๐
get me a can of cut green beans and I'll add some garlic and onion powder, salt, and black pepper and let them simmer for a while and absorb all their juices and flavor and I'm happy
1 bunch collards
1 bunch swiss chard
2 cans great northern beans
1 large onion
4 gloves garlic
asiago cheese
splash of vinegar julienne the greens, finely chop onion, mince garlic. sautรฉ onion until soft in ghee or neutral oil. salt and season with bouillon cube. add garlic until fragrant. mix in greens and sautรฉ until no longer tough. add cans of beans with liquid. cover and cook down. season to taste serve with drizzle of fancy olive oil, cheese, extra salt/vinegar, and buttered bread.
bean ๐ซถ love ๐ซถ my go-to pot of beans is
- 1 half of a onion
- 1 half of a lemon
- 1 small head if garlic, halved
- 1 parm rind
- any herbs in the fridge or bay leaf
- beanssss
- cover with water
โโ-add olive oil, toast the lemon + alliums and then add the rest. pinch of salt, and simmer until cooked through ๐ or lazy fun versionโ can if cooked beans, olive oil, grated garlic clove, and a tsp of calabrian chili to taste for heat!

I was bullied a lot for my eye color as a kid (because me having very dark brown hair and very dark brown eyes made me look "evil", apparently) and, naturally, began to dislike them. but as I've gotten out of school and away from people who put me down, I've realized how insane it is to bully someone over their eye and hair color and grown to love the color of my eyes. I mean, they may be dark but there's nothing wrong with that. and I can take pretty pictures of my eyes too, I just have to blind myself and almost stare into the sun to do so lol
recently, when I wake up in the morning and have time to kill, I've been spending a bit of time reading before or after I get myself ready to go about the day instead of sitting on my phone when I first wake up. I feel like it helps clear my mind for the day and it feels nice to not immediately scroll when I wake up like I used to
