are these the new ones and how are they in terms of sizing?? i have been eyeing air rifts on ebay for a while but don't want to get the wrong size

@SOFE yes, they’re the new ones. i’m a size 8.5/9 and i bought the 9 (eur 40.5). they’re not small, but i think one size up could work too. from what i’ve been reading only the suede ones are uncomfortable, everyone says the normal ones are actually super comfortable.the suede ones are pretty well made imo. i bought them on end clothing, the returns are not free but they are returnable, which gave me some peace of mind.

Breaking in a New Pair of Leather Shoes

Here I am. Sore, bloody, beaten-down, and embarrassed. I’m breaking in a new pair of leather shoes. If the shoe fits, wear it. But if it doesn’t, wear it around your apartment when you’re home alone. Do laps up and down wincing and wondering when they’re going to feel normal. Wear it up and down your block going to grab coffee or get a sandwich, limping your way home hoping none of your neighbors ask if you’re okay, to which you must respond, “yes I’m fine. I’m just wearing shoes that don’t fit.” Wear them when you have nothing to lose. Never before a long day out or a first date. Wear them with bandaids on your heels and bandaids in your pockets, and bandaids in your other pockets. Maybe one day I’ll wear them out dancing.

TRY ASKING YOUR FRIENDS FOR WHAT YOU’RE MISSING INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING YOU DONT HAVE “COMMUNITY”

a big pet peeve I have is people complaining about not having community or only having “party friends” etc BUT are they inviting their existing friends or acquaintances to go out for dinner, go thrifting, watch tv, book club, people watch, day trip, mulberry picking? no, they are not. are they introducing their friends to each other? also not. i hate to be a cliché sometimes you gotta put some work into having the relationships you long for. plus: you’re part of the problem. AND have some appreciation for the friends you have instead of focusing so much in what you don’t.

Nothing annoys me more about the American culture than the lack of enthusiasm. If I invite you to go somewhere and your answer is “sure” or “why not”, I’m taking it back. I do not wanna be surrounded by indifferent people. It’s unworthy.
