It’s not about copying his exact routine. You don’t have to clean public toilets or listen to cassette tapes. That’s not the point.
The point is to find your own routine — something simple that actually feels good to you. Even if it seems weird or ā€œunproductiveā€ And just repeat it for a week or longer, if you want
This isn’t about being boring, it’s about having something small and grounding in your day. Something that keeps you present. Maybe it’s a glass of chia water in the morning and a walk to the store. Maybe it’s making the same breakfast every day, or putting your phone away. Whatever it is — if it makes you feel alive, it’s worth it.
I’ve been living like this for more than a month now, just showing up for my own life (saying no to sugar also helps with that, ILL WRITE ABOUT THIS IN MY NEXT REC). And honestly, it’s the thing that makes you feel like YOU CAN SURVIVE TODAY AND TOMORROW AND ANY OTHER DAY just because you have something familiar in your day — YOUR ROUTINE!
When you’re doing these small things alone: no distractions, no noise — something shifts. You start to feel more in tune with yourself. You’re not driven by fear, or wants, or ambition (like you usually do). You’re just there. And in that moment, you finally get the time to just think about yourself, your life !with no pressure! And that changes everything SO TRY THIS!!

I’ve had periods where I’ve really struggled with this too. Before I give my rec, I want to emphasize that I think we all experience cycles in our behavior where we ā€œmake progressā€ (whatever that means for you!) and then we don’t - and that’s really okay. I would start by figuring out if your body is physically okay. Lethargy/fatigue is a biological response to a lot of different things and it may be the result of unexpected health stuff! So don’t discount a doctor’s visit. But mental health/stress really contributes to this for me, and it is often the biggest thing that breaks my healthy routines. This is where the loop comes in: healthy routines combat stress, but stress breaks up healthy routines. So that first day you start the healthy routine cycle is really important! For me healthy routines start with good sleep hygiene. If you’ve been rotting in bed a lot and your sleep cycle is screwed, re-establishing that may be difficult. I would recommend supplementing your body with physical movement - preferably something rigorous (for your level) but also gives you joy!! No boring gym time - do whatever gives you endorphins. Consistent activity is really key for your body to not fall into a doom loop. And lastly, do the things you need to do to combat your stress. Set yourself up so that you feel you are taking meaningful steps towards progress. Start with the small stuff and don’t discount them!!! Often the small tasks are the ones that break us because they seem innumerable (for me it’s always been folding laundry). But just remember, every small thing you do is progress and that will build your momentum.
I believe in ya! You have the power to change this, slowly but surely.

hiii i have also been in this position many times before and on instinct i would try to fill my days with lots of meaningless actions to fill that void-like feeling. i've found that doing everyday mundane tasks with my whole being has brought a lot of joy back into my life. i think a lot of us go through the motions of our everyday routines without giving our tasks much thought, intention/attention and it feels really nice to flip the script and pay attention deeply. something as simple as a morning cup or coffee or tea can become a ritual - taking ur time with each sip, really really tasting it, paying attention to ur breath + filling into your body in that moment. if you meet each task with the intention to really b there the whole time you'll find that joy is in the ordinary moments. one of my favorite authors thich nhat hanh once said, " you make yourself available to life and life becomes available to you."

When watching, you can notice a number of references (including to the works of Quentin Tarantino), but this doesn’t make the plot any less unique, quite the contrary, I would call Akudama Drive a fairly memorable anime with dynamic narration and animation. Violent and dark at times, but still worth watching and recommending. I can confidently say that this anime is one of my favourites ✨✨

I’d been trying to eat less sugar for over a year, just wanted to feel a bit better, have more energy, maybe help my skin. But every time I tried, I’d end up eating sweets again the moment I felt stressed or overwhelmed Only recently something actually clicked. Now I just have, like, one cheesecake with a cappuccino a week. And weirdly — that’s enough. My skin really did get better, but more than that, I realized I used to eat sugar to distract myself from how I felt. Like I was trying to create a sense of joy instead of actually feeling it. Now I have to find real ways to comfort myself (it was pretty hard at first tbh). And the funny thing is — when I’m feeling okay, I don’t even want sugar that much. I look at something sweet and think that I don’t really want it now
