Sometimes if I'm by myself and I can't sleep, I just say (in my head) "I love you, _____" to whoever comes to mind.
Once I've gone through all of the obvious loves of my life who I see regularly, people I almost entirely forgot about will come to mind which is sweet, and sometimes people I don't like will come to mind, but because I'm so sleepy I'm like ok whatever all is forgiven love you, which is freeing.
Anyway it feels like I'm sending little wishes to everyone :)

Even if itâs 8am, preemptively wishing sweet dreams for later.
This isnât as much of a ritual as an impulse but Iâm in love with it for two reasons.
One is that people start giggling, before theyâre familiar with you saying this all of the time, because theyâre thrown off to hear it when they arenât even close to bedtime.
But also because people start to say it back to you and associate you with it.
My heart melts every day when I leave work or leave the bar to a chorus of people wishing me sweet dreams lol

It is sweet to be thought of. It is sweet to think of others. It's even sweeter to express out loud how something made me think of someone and vice versa. "Really?" "Aw what!" "Oh you!" I love that so much. Makes missing people far away from you less harder.
