No question about it. Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson never fail together. The scenes were captivating and will be shown in film classes from now on. The music fits the narrative so well but also stands on its own with no problem. 5 stars and a forever rewatch!
what an insane movie!! gripping story with all-time career performances from everybody and insane cinematography. and don't get me started about the music! legitimately a career highlight for everyone involved. a movie that reminds you why you love movies!
Holy cow. So many layers to this movie but I love what it has to say about the literal magic of music. Art is so innate to human beings and how we express ourselves, and it‘s beautiful how art can affirm its own importance. Additionally, this movie kicks ass!
Since I’m new here, I figured I’d introduce myself. I’m a 22 year old alt, lesbian artist. I’ve been making art since I was about 8 and I just never stopped. I downloaded this app due to my sheer obsession with the early 00s. I just wish I could be an adult in 2003 instead of an infant just for a day. Here’s some of my art :)
I am a CD kid. I was raised that way and I love flipping through a book of CDS. My car is from 2014 and it reignited my love of CDs. I do collect vinyls too but I don’t use them as much as I use CDs though.
Yesterday, I was scrolling on Youtube as usual (I love Youtube) and I came across a video that said “Goodbye, 2006”. It just popped up randomly and I figured I’d watch it. It was literally someone’s slideshow of their year. I love finding people’s digital time capsules on Youtube.
